HAUL: Sephora & Ulta

I recently ran out of a few of my favorite products and needed to repurchase. Obviously I couldn't stay away from some new goodies! :)

ULTA:

Moisture and Shine Moisture Masque - I LOOOOOVE this product. I use it as a deep conditioner and sleep with it on my hair overnight. I do that about once a week. When I wash it out in the morning my hair is amazingly soft and shiny. This product is also safe for color treated hair and is supposed to seal in the color and help protect against fading, so that is always a plus!

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation - I just had to pick up this foundation. I got it in shade 102: Shell Beige (I'm super pale these days!). I've heard so many people raving about this product so I had to try it for myself. It's claims to be a matte, longwear, medium coverage foundation - all things I look for when picking out a foundation. So far I've only used it once and liked what I saw. I will keep you posted after I wear it more :)

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Leather 24hr - I got this in the color Creamy Beige. I haven't found an eye primer that I absolutely love yet and sometimes I have problems with creasing. I thought this might work as a good base. I swatched it on my hand and the color was beautiful. It also didn't move from my hand without some serious scrubbing so I'm thinking it's going to be a great base ... we'll see!

SEPHORA:

Korres Pomegranate Balancing Cream-Gel Moisturizer  -THIS STUFF IS SERIOUSLY MY FAVORITE!! This is about my fifth repurchase of this product. I can't get enough of it! Right now I'm using this as a daytime moisturizer only (see below more info on what I use at night). I came across this moisturizer when I was getting my makeup done for my engagement photos a couple of years ago. The makeup artist used it on me because I have oily skin and it was a very hot and humid day ... this helped keep me from getting so oily that I went back the following day to purchase it. And, I've been re-buying ever since! If you have oily skin there is nothing you need more in your life than this moisturizer!

Bliss The Youth As We Know It™ Anti-Aging Eye Cream - I have to admit I'm such a product hopper when it comes to eye creams. I'm always looking for the next best thing. I use an Origins eye cream for the daytime that helps with puffiness, but I was in need of a new hydrating night eye cream. I'm hoping this will be the product that stops me from being such a product hopper!

Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil - I've heard so much about fighting oily skin with oil. At first I was like NOOO WAY ... ABSOLUTELY NOT will I put oil on my face! The thought of it just made me cringe. But, the more I thought about it, it made sense. My skin still needs to be hydrated especially because I'm oily but I definitely get dry spots. A friend recommended this one and it had great reviews (even from people with oily skin) so I thought I'd give it a try. I've been using this as my nighttime moisturizer and the one from above as my daytime moisturizer for about the past week. My skin seriously looks awesome and the dry patches are completely gone. I know it generally takes two plus weeks to really adjust to new products but I'm already seeing a difference and I'm loving this product!

Tarte The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer - I got this as a sample in the color Park Ave Princess and I'm excited to try it. I love cream contouring; however, I'm a little nervous about this product because the color is definitely on the warmer side and I usually prefer to contour with cooler, ashier toned colors. But I will at least give this one a try!

REVIEW: Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks

Who isn't loving a matte lip these days!? They are all the craze and not surprisingly so because they make any makeup look more fabulous than it already was. I had heard SO many great things about the Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks so a few months ago I went to Rite Aid to pick up a few ... well, everyone else must've heard about them to because they were practically sold out. They only had 1 color (Lust for Blush) and I was so eager to try it out that I picked up this color(even though I'm usually not into pink lipsticks). I quickly became OBSESSED with the texture and feel of this lipstick so I went back, praying they'd have more colors in stock. I bought Nude Embrace, Touch of Spice, and Divine Wine. I've swatched all the colors so you can see them below.

Nude Embrace, Lust for Blush, Touch of Spice, Divine Wine

Finding a creamy matte lipstick is so hard. They always tend to be drying and make your lips look flakey - for me, at least. Now, I wouldn't call these lipsticks hydrating, but they sure are creamy! The pigmentation is fabulous and there is great color pay off. I usually apply a lip balm underneath and the lipstick still glides on with tons of color. The color lasts on the lips for many hours and it doesn't dry out the lips after wearing for a full day. Some lipsticks that go on creamy tend to dry shortly after putting them on; this one remains a creamy consistency, but still looks matte.

The range of colors in this lipstick is great - there are 10 colors total. The are some nudes, some pinks, and some reds; and all the colors are gorgeous. As of now I'd have to say my favorite color is Touch of Spice. It's very similar to Mac's twig which I also love. It's great for everyday makeup looks but can also work for dramatic looks such as a dark smokey eye.

Yesterday I wore minimal makeup (it was Sunday!). I applied Touch of Spice with Mac's Soar lipliner and Nar's Orgasm lipgloss just in the center of the lip. Let me tell you - it looked gorg! Nothing to spice up a minimal makeup look like a nice lippie!

I really have nothing bad to say about these lipsticks - I guess I could say I wished they had more nudes or more colors in general? But, the 10 colors they do have are amazingly beautiful! And you definitely cannot beat the drugstore price! I've seen the prices range from about $6 to $8. You could buy all 10 of these for roughly the same price as 2-3 high end lipsticks.
